Scrappy Frogs Challenge #9

Hello Again Ladies,
I thought my previous post would be the last one for day, but I was reading my emails and Mindy from Magnolia Yahoo Group mentioned about this challenge blog called Scrappy Frogs that she and her friend run and this week is to make a project with Magnolia Stamps.
Well, I had made this afternoon few corner bookmarkers to send to a bookshop as samples, as I intend to sell them there and I thought, well, they are just perfect...
I know I`ve posted corner bookmarkers before, but these ones are new ones, so I think this count as a new project, right?!??!
All images are from Magnolia Store and all of them are colored with copic markers. I used stickes on the bows and wings.. and it is so cute!! I love it...
Corner bookmarkers are pretty easy & quick to make, if you would like the tutorial, please, check my 1st post about corner bookmarker, there is a link in there for the tutorial.
So here are my new corner bookmarkers:

Thank you so much for visiting me !!!!

My First Card with Bella

Good Evening Ladies,
I made this card today to join 2 challenges:
I had never made a card with stitch before and I thought it was done with a sewing machine only, but for my surprise, it can be made by hand too. I found out that in the tutorial that is in the blog.
And for a sketch, I chose A Spoon Full of Sugar one:
So first, I`m going to show you the sketch:
As I mentioned on my post earlier, I`ve swaped images with friends at SSSD Yahoo Group and I received images for Stamping Bella...
I had never seen this stamp before and it is very cute, so I decided to use CakeBella image for this card.
I colored it with copics, decorate the card with ribbon and golden flowers... Sentiment "Just for You" is a clear stamp from Heidi Grace that I receive from a Winnie of SSSD Yahoo Group for the Christmas in July Swap today.
About the stitching, that wasn't difficult at all, the only problem is to make the holes in a straight line... I could have used a ruller to help me to keep the line straight but I did not do that... but as first time doing that, it is not too bad, is it??
Oh, I almost forgot to mention, I sponged ink all around Bella`s image... it is a pitty that we can see that in the photo, but it is quite nice.
Here goes my card:
And here is the inside of it:
So Ladies, please, tell me if I was sucessfull in this challenge!!
Many many thanks for stopping by and taking time to leave a comment.. I appreciate so much!!
Hugs,
Vivi

Trying a new Technique: Sponging

Hello Again Ladies,
Here goes one more card that I made tonight!!!!
I decided to join the 365 Card Challenge Blog (day 149) today as there is a new technique for me: Sponging.
so I thought: Why not to give a try???
Well, I did and I`m happy how it turned out as you can see below.
Unfortunately, I don`t know the name of this image as I received from a friend and there was no name on the back of it.. So if you know, please, tell me.. I would love to add this info here.
I colored the image with copics, decorate my card with blue gemstones and ribbon. Sentiment is from Stampin up!! I really really love this sentiment, it says: Always on my mind - forever in my heart - isn`t that beautiful??
So here is my card:

Thank for you visiting my blog and leaving a comment!! It makes me so happy!

2 Sketches 4 You Challenge #31

Good Evening again Ladies,
I made one more card tonight, now using 2 Sketches 4 You sketch as follow:
This is a nice sketch but I little bit challenge for me... I wasn't so sure how I want to embelish my card with and what stamp I wanted to use on it after seeing all the beautiful samples were made.
So, after thinking for a little while and trying to choose the right stamp for this card, I made my mind.
I decided to use a image from Hanglar & Stanglar that I received from Regina. I colored my image with copics, embellish my card with pink gemstones, ribbon and use my oval nestie to cut the image.
I must say that I'm really pleased with the result as you can see below:
I keep making the inside of the card very simple, I like that way, as I prefer to emphasize the outside of the card, so here is the inside:
So, what do you think?
Thank you so much for leaving a comment!!

I colored the stamp with copics, decorate de card with gold square brads and ribbon. Sentiment is from Stamp Up!!

Sugar Bowl Challenge #15

Good Sunday Ladies,
I hope you are having a great day!!!
A while ago I received many many Sugar Nellie stamped images from a swap that I joined at SSSD Yahoo Group but I didn`t have played with them yet nor have ever played with a Sugar Nellie`s stamp althought I though it is so pretty..
Anyway, I`m so happy to have these images and when I used them all, I`ll definetly buy few stamps for myself.
So, this post is to join the Sugar Bowl Challenge Blog that is a sketch by Gayle and we must have ribbon and/or bows on the card.
So, here is the sketch:
The image I`ve chosen is called Hug in a Mug. You can buy it at http://www.funkykits.co.uk.
I colored it with copic markers, decorate with blings, petaloo flowers, blue flower shaped brad, red ribbon and made a bow... I really like ribbons and bows on the card, I think it is so charming... Don`t you?
So here is my card:
So, what do you think about it?
Many thanks for taking time to stop by and check my card out! I really appreciate!

A card with a Hanglar & Stanglar image

Good Evening Ladies,
It is being a while since my last post, but I was working on quilling cards so no much time left for stamping ones. But I have a pretty good news: I'm on vacation for 2 weeks so I'll have plenty time to work on my cards!! wooohhooo!!
Well, my goal is to make, at least, one per day!! Let's see!!
And to start I made one card with a Hanglar & Stanglar image that I received from Regina Ribeiro for a couple a month ago.. Thank you so much Regina.
I've been meaning to color this stamp for so long that I could believe I took that long to use it... And for that stamp I decide to use with a sketch that is from Sketch and Stash challenge #15 and It is a really fun one to make. Check it out:

Well, I had a piece of this christmas paper so I though it would be perfect to make a Christmas card with that image. This week on Daring Cardmakers blog, the challenge is: on the edge, that means "...use of all sorts of border treatments; scallops, trims, pleats, or anything else which makes the edges of your papers and cards look special..."
Oh, that is was great because I wanted to use something nice on the border, so it is perfect.
Image is colored with my copic markers and put some glitter on, so could have some sparkle.
I also decorated with snowman brads.. It is very cute!!
So here is my card for today:
And here is the inside of it:

Thank you so so much for stopping by!
It would be awesome if you could leave a comment about my card so I would know what you think about it!
Hugs,
Vivi

A card with Edwin

Hi Ladies,
I made this card to join the Magnolia-licious Highlite challenge but as I was checking out others challenge blogs I saw that I could join them too, so here is the challenges and their rules:
  1. Magnolia-licious Highlites: make a card with Edwin image;
  2. Just Magnolia: made a card using buttons;
  3. Our Creative Corner: make a card using 3 different embellies.
This is my first tentative trying to create a scenery on the card... I know it is missing a lot of details but I still have to figure out how to do them, like to put a sidewalk, trees on the background etc... I'm sure I'll figure out sometime.. I just need to keep trying, isn't it!?!?!?
Anyway, I colored Edwin and fence wiht ciao copic markers, I bought both images at Magnolia Shop, and decorated this card with buttons, ribbon and brads.
Ladybug on the fence is a button that I received in a embellies swap few months ago.. really cute!
So, here it is:
And here is the inside of my card.
So, what do you think about my card?
Thank you so so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. I really appreciate !!!!

Just Magnolia Challenge - week #13

Hello Ladies,
Today I decided to make 3 diferents cards to join 3 challenges.
First one I want to show you is for Just Magnolia Challenge - week #13, a sketch created by Mina.
Here is the sketch:
I liked this sketch very much! And the samples are so pretties, you should take a peek at Just Magnolia Blog.
There are a lot of things to play with, flowers, ribbon, image, sentiment, background papers... oh, what a fun!!!
So the first thing I did for this challenge was to color the image of Tilda with Flower Garland on Hair with my ciao copic markers and cut the image in an oval shape with my nestabilities.
Flowers are from Petaloo and I used brads to hold the flowers.
So here is my card:
Well, I always see that my Friends at Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group normally decorate the inside of the card and I have never tried that, so today I decided to give a try.
I didn`t want to mess my work up so I decided to do something simple and here it is...
Thank you for stopping by and many many thanks for leaving a comment... I really appreciate!

Vase of flowers

Hi Ladies,
As I said before, I'm making few quilling things to be sold at the open market this weekend!
I first want to show Vase of flowers that I made with message holder.
This vase is different from the one I showed before. This is not made with paper so it was so much easy.. I only had to make the flowers.. I decide decorate the vase border with ribbon and I think it is so much gorgeous this way than without it.
I made only these 3 ones as I don't know if people will like and buy them... And I added fresh cotton scent on the flowers, hhummm... . it smells so nice.. it is a pitty that you can't smell it! :)
Scent I got at http://www.stampingscrapping.com in case you are interested in get some for yours creations too.
So here they are:
So, what you think? Aren`t these little vase of flowers cute?
Many thanks for leaving your comment, I appreciate a lot!!

A Spoon of Sugar Challenge # 59

Hello Ladies, It is been a while since my last post, but I'm making quilling itens for an open fair that I'm going to participate this weekend, so I have no much time left to work on others things. I'll post photos of few itens I have made when I'm done with them so you can see what I've been working on. Anyway, this week's challenge at A Spoon of Sugar Challenge is to have hearts on my creation and as I made this card few days ago I thought it would go perfect for this challenge once Edwin is holding a balloon that is a shape of a heart! This stamp I bought from Magnolia-licious and I colored Edwin with ciao copic markers. I used ribbon, brads and blings to embellish it. I didn't get any sketch in particular to make this card, just something very simple came out from my mind. So, here goes my card: Thank you very much for stopping by and leaving your comment... It is very much appreciated! Hugs and have a great day! Vivi
